Building facades play an integral role not only in the visual impression they make, but in their lifespan and sustainability. Novelis sets the standard for pre-painted and anodized aluminum products that deliver not only on aesthetics and design qualities, but also on safety and durability. Our aluminum construction materials enable architects and builders to create striking and memorable structures that last for decades.
Novelis aluminum products for building facades are:
- Attractive, with a brilliant surface and a wide array of available colors and shapes
- Resistant against corrosion thanks to high-quality alloys and innovative coating systems
- Durable, with a long service life and high resistance to the elements, including marine environments and extreme temperatures
- Efficient, with strong protection properties and 100 percent recyclability
Whether constructing a new building or renovating an existing one, choose from a range of pre-painted and anodized aluminum building materials based on the requirements of your project:
J57S® is a rolled aluminum alloy designed to be a perfect base material for anodizing. Created specifically to meet the requirements of modern architecture, its value and utility has been proven over decades of use. Take advantage of:
- Characteristic brilliancedue to a special etching structure
- Processing ability for bending, cutting, punching, drilling and more
- Excellent deformation capacity that provides the best preconditions for further processing
- The guaranteed highest level of consistency and qualityto ensure that color and surface gloss are identical after anodizing
J73A® is the next generation of rolled aluminum. It is well suited for the challenges of modern architecture, and arrives already anodized so that it can be used immediately. Take advantage of:
- Characteristic brilliance that can't be mistaken
- A long service life due to a high degree of surface hardness
- A uniform anodizing layer of 20 µm
- No contact points that might be left by batch anodizing
- Oustanding UV resistance, so colors never fade
- Exceptional resistance to weather and corrosion
FF2® and FF2 plus® are pre-painted aluminum sheeting products developed specifically for building facade cladding in ventilated and non-ventilated construction. Coil-coated with high-quality PVdF paint, they serve for flat sheet, panel and cassette construction and provide a number of benefits, including:
- A flawless, brilliant surface due to the superior coating, with a variety of plain, metallic and special colors available
- The ability to handle permanent high loads
- Ultra-flat and stress-free sheets
- Superior weather resistance, approved for use in extreme climates
- Good workability, enabling it to be bonded, screwed, riveted, stud welded, bent and drilled without damaging the coating
FF3® prepainted aluminium from Novelis is a 3mm thick material developed specifically for cladding facades that offers architects and builders a wide range of sophisticated design possibilities. FF3optimal combination of material thickness and alloy (AlMg3) allows very wide spans to be achieved, leading to reduced cost in the substructure required.
- FF3 was developed specifically for façade application, and is exceptionally flat.
- Invisible fastening using stud weld techniques make sophisticated façade design possible.
- Seawater and corrosion resistant alloy
- The Surface is dirt-repellent
Thanks to the high mechanical strength of FF3, considerably wider spans compared with other alloys of the same material thickness are possible. This results in significant cost benefits when installing. These savings, for example in substructure costs, make FF3 the ideal material not only from a design point of view, but also from a cost perspective.
SuperWindy® is aluminum sheeting pre-coated with a modified, highly durable polyamide paint popular for exterior cladding and window frames. Our offering provides:
- Excellent formability and bending behavior
- Good resistance to UV rays so colors never fade
- Superior corrosion resistance
- Protective primer on the reverse side, suitable for gluing and adhesion with the most common foams
PROF2000® is a pre-painted aluminum sheet coated with TGIC-free polyester powder. This treatment gives PROF2000 the same surface strucutre as post-painted extruded materials, so the two materials match seamlessly. It is commonly used in facades and tunnels due to a variety of characteristics, including:
- Easy to clean
- Modular construction, for easier maintenance and replacement
- High fire reaction, certified as "A1" in accordance with EN 13501-1:2009
- Customizable, with hundreds of colors and shades available and the ability to match new special colors on demand
