Sachin Satpute

Executive Vice President and President, Novelis Asia

Sachin Satpute is Executive Vice President and President, Novelis Asia, the leading sustainable aluminum solutions provider and world leader in aluminum rolling and recycling. In this role, which he was appointed to in June 2016, he is responsible for leading the overall strategy and P&L for Novelis’ Asia business, which includes sales to the beverage packaging, automotive, aerospace and specialty products markets. Sachin also has the additional responsibility to oversee Global Aerospace Value Stream in Novelis since 2021.

Prior to being named to the current position, Sachin served as Chief Marketing Officer, Hindalco Industries Limited. Before that, he held roles of increasing responsibility within Novelis, including Director, Business Development & Innovation for Novelis Asia; Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Technical Services for Novelis Asia; and Managing Director of Aluminium Company of Malaysia Berhad (ALCOM).

Sachin has nearly 35 years of experience in the aluminum industry, having started his career at INDAL, which was a subsidiary of ALCAN.

Sachin holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Pune University and an MBA in marketing from Mumbai University. He is a graduate of Novelis’ inaugural Global Leadership Program. He was named an Aditya Birla Fellow in 2016 and received ABG Outstanding Leader Award in 2022. He is currently a board member of the Korea Non-Ferrous Metal Association (KNFMA) and the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK).
