Achieving excellence in Environment, Health & Safety, and Quality lies in the implementation of effective management systems.  At Novelis, all manufacturing sites are required to obtain registration to two internationally recognized management systems:

  • ISO 14001 for Environmental Management
  • OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health and Safety Management

These management systems specify a "Plan, Do, Check and Act" methodology designed to deliver world-class performance.  Implementation of these standards at Novelis operating sites assures that health & safety risks and environmental impacts are managed with rigor and results in continuous improvement in our performance.

As the following table shows, all Novelis manufacturing sites are registered to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.  In addition, 30 of the 31 sites are registered to an internationally recognized ISO Quality Standard.
