Senior Vice President and President - Novelis Europe
Tadeu Nardocci is senior vice president and president, Novelis Europe. Appointed as president, Novelis Europe in June 2009, he oversees 13 manufacturing facilities across Europe which produce rolled aluminum products for many markets including automotive, building, packaging, transportation and printing.
Mr. Nardocci served as senior vice president of Novelis leading the company's innovation, technology and business strategy prior to his current appointment. In this role, he was responsible for driving the innovation agenda for both products (such as Novelis Fusion™) and processes throughout the company. Before this role, he served as president, Novelis South America, where he lead all aspects of the company’s business in this region.
Prior to the formation of Novelis, Mr. Nardocci had been with Alcan since 1980 where he began as a rolling process engineer in the Utinga, Brazil plant. He progressed through the organization holding several manufacturing and operations positions before being named to the position of managing director for Alcan's Southeast Asian business, based in Kuala Lumpur. In this position, Mr. Nardocci was responsible for the company's rolling and extrusion business in Malaysia and Thailand. In July 2002, he was appointed president of Alcan Brazil Rolled Products, which eventually became Novelis in the spin-off from Alcan in 2005.
Born in São Paulo, Mr. Nardocci graduated from University of São Paulo with a degree in metallurgy. He has also attended post-graduation courses in business administration in Brazil and the United States, among other formal education programs. Mr. Nardocci is a member of the executive board of the Brazilian Aluminum Association – ABAL.
